Midnight Bayou by Nora Roberts

The other book I just finished yesterday is Midnight Bayou by Nora Roberts. Honestly I didn't like it. Being a Nora Roberts fan I think there was something missing from this book of hers. I liked the charachters and the humor she put in between. her writing style was as usual outstanding, but there was something about the book that didnt quite fit. It felt incomplete. Declan Fitzergald restores his haunted house, the Manet Hall, and falls in love with his neighbour Angelina. I guess I'll give it 2.5 stars out of 5.

Ice Castle (2010)

Today I watched teh movie 'Ice Castle'. The 2010 version. I haven't ever watched the 1970's version but I heard it was beautiful so when they made a remake of the film I went and got it. Me and my sister watched it together and OH! Its such a beautiful film. Its about a girl, Alexis Winston, whos dream is to be the worlds biggest skater. On her way to success she gets injured and loses her sight. The injury not only blinds her but tears her apart as she believes everything is over for her. Just when shes given all hope she meets Nick. Someone who believes in her, someone who loves her. Now I wont blab and tell you the whole film cuz you have to go watch it. =D Hope you liked it as much as I did.

PARADISE by Judith McNaught

Such a beautiful book! The journey of two people who were meant to be. After continuos partings who meet up again and who were never able to bury their feelings for each other. Meridith Bancroft. the only heir to 'Bancroft and Company' meets Mathew Farrell, a steel worker who's determined to prove himself, and fill everything with passion. You know they say opposites attract, well so did Matt and Meredith. I am a HUGE Fan of Judith McNaught! and PARADISE explains it. ONe of her most beautiful books. Even after eleven years, when Matt is no longer the scruffy kid and Meridith is her way to being president, they have not completely forgot each other. Nor have they forgotten what they've done and they're miserable conditions eleven years ago. Yet here they are just like destiny wanted and ready to move on but sometimes past just squeezes in anyway. =) A good read and definetly one of my Favourites!
